How To Make a Whiskey Sour

If it’s a tangy and refreshing drink you need in your life, then look no further than a Whiskey Sour! It’s essentially a mashup between a 1920’s sour cocktail with a margarita. This tasty drink has vintage vibes, and the rosemary really balances the zesty flavour of the grapefruit.

Ingredients

40ml Whiskey
Ice
Garnish of grapefruit slice

Equipment

Clean, empty jam jar
Shot measure

Method

  1. Combine Whiskey and Foxglove mixer into a clean empty jam jar.
  2. Shake for 15 seconds to combine the cocktail. This is also called a ‘dry-shake’ as the ingredients are combined before the ice is added.
  3. Add ice and shake for another 10 seconds, to chill your cocktail.
  4. Strain into your glass.
  5. Garnish with a grapefruit slice, and enjoy!

Bonus Tip

We recommend to use West Cork Bourbon Cask Irish Whiskey to create a delicious local Whiskey sour.
