How To Make a Paloma

Interesting fact, is that the Paloma, not the Margarita, is Mexico’s favourite cocktail. This cocktail is traditionally made with tequila, lime juice and grapefruit soda, but we have put our twist on it, and are creating it with our Grapefruit + Rosemary Sour mixer. The grapefruit brings the traditional nod to Paloma, while the rosemary flavours balance out the cocktail, and compliment the sweetness of the tequila. We have added a salted rim, to give it an extra kick.

Ingredients

40ml 100% agave tequila, like Olmeca Altos or Patron
Ice
Wedge of lemon
Salt
Garnish of grapefruit slice

Equipment

Clean, empty jam jar
Shot measure

Method

  1. First, prepare your glass.
  2. Run the lemon wedge around the edge of your glass, and dip and twist your glass into salt, to create a salted rim.
  3. Next, lets make your Paloma!
  4. Combine tequila and Foxglove mixer into a clean empty jam jar.
  5. Shake for 15 seconds to combine the cocktail.
  6. Add ice and shake for another 10 seconds, to chill your cocktail.
  7. Strain into your glass, over fresh ice.
  8. Garnish with a grapefruit slice, and enjoy!

Bonus Tip

We recommend to use 100% agave Olmeca Altos Reposado tequila to create a delicious local Paloma.
